The co-development of drugs and diagnostics requires a new business model to fit the strategy that is emerging in the marketplace.  There are compelling examples that demonstrate how enormous potential can be found by exploiting the exquisite pairing of diagnostic tests that determine an individual’s therapeutic responsiveness with the right drug.  However, many practical barriers need to be faced before this can become a streamlined path for new products to emerge.  In the future, it is clear that all drugs will need to have a biomarker and companion diagnostic.  This conference will shed light on this new movement that will result in significant patient benefits, healthcare cost savings, and revenue opportunities.
