Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Fifth Annual
Emerging Molecular Markers of Cancer
Evaluating for Clinical Use
Part of the Fourth Annual Next Generation Dx Summit
August 21-22
The interest in molecular markers for cancer is growing stronger and is a critical component of personalized therapy. Cancer biomarkers serve many uses, from early detection to differential diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring. They require high sensitivity and specificity to be effective, and serum biomarkers offer a chance of gaining information in a non-invasive manner. Additional biomarkers need to be identified to enable personalized therapy and different classes of markers, including nucleic acid and protein, need to be combined. These will require advanced informatics capabilities and the end result will be clinical use of biomarkers.
Topics may include:
Cancer stem cells
Circulating tumor cells
Deep sequencing of cancer
Serum biomarkers
Assessing proliferative potential of cancer cells
Cancer informatics
Clinical uses of cancer markers
